Beacon Terms of Service
Effective Date: July 14, 2026
Welcome to Beacon. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Beacon platform, website, APIs, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using Beacon, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. About Beacon
Beacon is a business intelligence, lead discovery, research, and workflow platform designed to help businesses discover opportunities, organize information, automate research, and improve business operations.
Beacon is operated by TwinOrbits.
2. Eligibility
You must:
- Be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction.
- Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
- Provide accurate registration information.
- Keep your account credentials secure.
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Beacon only for lawful purposes.
You may not:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
- Use Beacon for spam, fraud, phishing, or deceptive practices.
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate others.
- Infringe intellectual property rights.
- Upload malware or malicious code.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
- Circumvent security measures.
- Reverse engineer the platform except where permitted by law.
- Use automated methods to abuse the Service.
- Interfere with Beacon’s availability or performance.
If Beacon integrates with third-party platforms, you are responsible for complying with their terms of service.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of the information, files, prompts, documents, and other content you submit to Beacon.
By using the Service, you grant Beacon a limited license to process, store, transmit, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
You represent that you have the necessary rights to upload and process your content.
5. AI-Generated Content
Beacon may generate recommendations, summaries, classifications, analyses, or other AI-generated outputs.
AI-generated content:
- May contain inaccuracies.
- Should not be considered legal, financial, medical, or professional advice.
- Should be reviewed by a human before making important decisions.
You remain responsible for how you use any generated output.
6. Data Sources
Beacon may collect or process information from:
- Publicly available sources
- User-provided information
- Connected third-party services
- Customer integrations
- Business databases
- APIs authorized by the user
Beacon does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, availability, or timeliness of third-party data.
7. Third-Party Services
Beacon may integrate with external platforms such as CRMs, email providers, cloud storage services, communication platforms, analytics tools, and other business software.
Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Beacon is not responsible for third-party systems, outages, policies, or data practices.
8. Intellectual Property
Beacon, including its software, designs, interfaces, branding, documentation, and underlying technology, is owned by TwinOrbits or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant ownership of Beacon or its technology.
9. Subscription and Payments
Certain features may require a paid subscription.
Unless otherwise stated:
- Fees are charged in advance.
- Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Pricing may change with reasonable notice.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of access.
Taxes are your responsibility unless otherwise specified.
10. Availability
Beacon strives to maintain reliable availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted service.
Maintenance, upgrades, security incidents, infrastructure failures, or third-party outages may temporarily affect availability.
11. Security
Beacon implements commercially reasonable security measures to protect customer information.
However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and notifying Beacon immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.
12. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using Beacon, you acknowledge that your information may be processed as described in that policy.
13. Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring your use of Beacon complies with all applicable laws, including privacy, marketing, consumer protection, and data protection regulations relevant to your jurisdiction.
14. Suspension and Termination
Beacon may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms.
- Present security risks.
- Abuse the Service.
- Engage in unlawful activity.
- Fail to pay applicable fees.
You may stop using Beacon at any time.
Termination does not relieve outstanding payment obligations.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
Beacon is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TwinOrbits and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
- Indirect damages
- Incidental damages
- Special damages
- Consequential damages
- Lost profits
- Lost revenue
- Lost business opportunities
- Loss of data
In no event shall TwinOrbits’ total liability exceed the amount paid by you for Beacon during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
17. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TwinOrbits, its employees, contractors, affiliates, and partners from claims arising from:
- Your use of Beacon.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of applicable law.
- Your infringement of third-party rights.
18. Changes to the Service
Beacon may modify, improve, replace, or discontinue features at any time.
We may also update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

21. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and TwinOrbits regarding your use of Beacon and supersede all prior agreements relating to the Service.
